Autorun can cause a lot of trouble if any virus sneaks into your system by using autorun feature. I already discussed CD autorun disable method for XP . So in this article i’ll suggest disable autorun for all drives.
Follow these instructions.
1. Click the Start button, then Run and enter “gpedit.msc” without the quotes
2. Go to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System
3. Scroll down to “Turn off Autoplay” and double click on it
4. Click on the “Enabled” radio button, then for “Turn off Autoplay on” select “All drives”
This way Autorun will be disabled for USB as well as for CD/DVD rom as well.
